Islena Neira Lacosta is a filmmaker/animator/illustrator/comic artist based in Angoulême, France.
Born in Zaragoza in 1994, she studied illustration at the School of Fine
Arts in Zaragoza, and later animation at EMCA, Angoulême, where she
created short films like "POOL" and "There's a Cat Under the Car." After
earning her degree, she participated in season 8 of "En sortant de
l'école" with her short film "No Key to Poetry." Islena also works as an
animator, and in her free time, she creates comics and animations at
the Atelier des Hiboux.
As an animator, Islena has worked in diferent shortfilms and productions as HBO’s “Scavengers Regin” and the feature “La Plus Précieuse Des Marchandises”.
